Make Your Own Tools is designed to keep calculator usage lightweight and transparent. Most calculator inputs are processed directly in your browser.
Information Processed in Your Browser
Calculator inputs, generated configuration files, recent selections, and optional preferences may be stored in local browser storage so the tools feel faster and more useful. This data is not sent to a Make Your Own Tools server.
External Services
Some features may request data from third-party services. For example, the LLM VRAM calculator can fetch public model configuration data from Hugging Face when you ask it to. The site also loads a Ko-fi donation widget.
Analytics
The site may use privacy-conscious analytics from the hosting or analytics provider to understand page views, referrers, device types, and performance. These signals help prioritize new calculators and fix broken pages.
Affiliate Links and Ads
